PROJECT TYPES

LMB Interiors will consider any interior design project that could benefit from our creative input. Our portfolio includes award-winning residential interiors, restaurants, offices and commercial spaces. We love working with stewards of architecturally-significant homes, from stately mansions to modest bungalows, modern ranchers, and more, to create interiors that are respectful of the original structure and details as needed while enlivening and aligning spaces with our clients’ modern lives.

We are also delighted to partner with our clients and your contractor and/or architect on remodels and new construction to answer questions about finishes, decorative lighting, flooring and other aesthetic decisions that need to be made during new construction. Because we oversee these details in conjunction with our design and selection of furnishings and lifestyle elements, the final result has more visual cohesion and flow.

DESIGN PROCESS

Our expertise covers the range of design-build projects, construction management, and making sure the planets align on time.

Long-standing partnerships with the Bay Area’s best workrooms, builders and skilled tradespeople enable us to deliver synergistic, well-planned and managed projects – of the highest quality and integrity. We can carry your project through from start to finish.

Although LMB Interiors is not a licensed architectural firm, several of our designers have interior architecture training and can draft detailed plans and drawings for your project. We can draw your plans and our contractor (or yours) can take them through permitting.
First and foremost, we are strong believers in listening. Our process is collaborative and built on trust. We endeavor to always strike a balance between your taste and our expertise, while giving one another room explore. Hopefully you’ll hire us because you like our work – and our aesthetic – and you feel good when you are with us.

Our clients tend to be people who are optimistic, resourced, worldly, community-oriented, philanthropic, and passionate about offering their gifts in service to humanity.

Not every client is the best fit for us, and vice-versa. Initially, we spend time with you on the phone learning about who you are and how you envision working with us, to better understand how best to serve you. During that conversation, we will answer any questions you might have about our process and approach, and if it seems like we might work well together, we will set up a time to meet in person for a complimentary half-hour consultation.

Hiring a designer is like dating. We want it to be a great, energy-rich fit on both sides, and we can only decide that together.

We believe in supporting responsible stewardship, as homeowners, community members, and as planet-dwellers. To that end, we are committed to creating healthy, natural, long-lasting environments and sourcing locally- and sustainably-produced furniture and finishings made of earth-friendly materials whenever feasible.
Providing interior design services throughout the Bay Area including the counties and cities of Piedmont, Oakland, San Francisco, Atherton, Hillsborough, Danville, Lafayette, Orinda, Walnut Creek, and Marin.
Design work is billed on an hourly basis. Invoices are submitted monthly. Once the scope of the project is determined, we can provide an initial estimate of design hours.
