“If you want to awaken all of humanity, awaken all of yourself. Truly, the greatest gift you have to give is that of your own self-transformation.” – Lao Tzu
Gratitude has a way of pulling us out of the chaos and into the heart of what truly matters. It’s not a fleeting feeling — it’s a practice, a sacred anchor. This season, I find myself reflecting on how gratitude shows up in our lives. Is it a family dinner filled with laughter and love? A quiet moment journaling the abundance we sometimes forget to notice? Or maybe it’s those small, silent acts of kindness that ripple out in ways we’ll never fully see? A smile for a stranger, paying for the groceries of the people in line behind you, or returning a grocery cart for someone who looks tired.

Amongst our gratitudes this season is gratitude for our team, including our senior designer Tiara whose baby shower we recently celebrated.
For me, this week was a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do. I got to cry — not once, but twice — on projects where my heart met the hearts of clients during pivotal life moments. Taahe installs we did coming at a time when family meant something extra special this year. These sacred spaces we co-create together aren’t just homes; they are havens for healing, connection, and comfort. It fills my heart to know that the work we do helps bring peace and emotional renewal to your lives.
Things I’m Grateful For

- Our clients; you wonderful people who trust us with your visions, welcome us into your homes, and share our belief in the transformative power of beauty.
- My authentic, creative, sassy, loving family, and bountiful dinners shared with them.
- All of the vibrant goddesses I get to call my friends.
- Locally-sourced, organic food, and all the growers, farmers, purveyors, and Mother Earth herself.
- Transformational healing work, and the gurus, teachers, mentors, and awakened masters leading the way.
I have found that acknowledging gratitude inspires me to want to do more for others.
Relatedly, living in the Bay Area is a privilege and a blessing. These lands, originally stewarded by the Ohlone people, are sacred. Their history calls us to reflect on our own interconnectedness. Gratitude is not about guilt. It’s about awareness and action, and lifting each other up so we can all thrive.
In this spirit of honoring where we live, LMB Interiors proudly supports two organizations doing extraordinary work to make this world a little brighter:
The Sogorea Te’ Land Trust
From sogoreate-landtrust.org: For thousands of years, hundreds of generations, the Lisjan Ohlone people have lived on the land that is now known as the East Bay in the San Francisco Bay Area… Generation after generation, we have cultivated reciprocal relationships with the plants and animals we share this place with, and developed beautiful and powerful cultural practices that keep us in balance. The Shuumi Land Tax is a voluntary annual contribution that non-Indigenous people living on the Confederated Villages of Lisjan’s territory can make to support the critical work of the Sogorea Te’ Land Trust. LMB Interiors continues to contribute annually, and we encourage you to do the same.

As our studio prepares to close for the holiday weekend, myself and our team looking forward to the extra downtime to spend with their people, know that I am profoundly grateful for you as part of our community: today and every day. Thank you for being in our LMBI family. Your desire for spaces that reflect who you are, your stories about your children, your families, your philanthropy, and your dreams for a better world inspire me to no end. Together, we are a testament to what happens when we align with our values, lift each other up, and fiercely support one another.
With a heart overflowing with gratitude,
Laura
